LUMBERTON, Nov. 14, 2016 – North Carolina lawyers will provide free legal help with FEMA benefits to Hurricane Matthew survivors on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 12:30-4 p.m. in Lumberton at the West Lumberton Baptist Church at 2320 West 5th St., and the Sandy Grove Baptist Church at 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.
No appointments are necessary – help will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Help will be available for survivors who want to submit their initial application for FEMA benefits, or whose initial application was denied by FEMA. Survivors whose application was denied should bring any documents they received from FEMA.
Health insurance navigators will be available to answer questions related to the Affordable Care Act.
