Resolution regarding
Allen Johnson
December 9, 2005
WHEREAS, Allen Johnson has dedicated substantial time and effort over the
last five years to improving legal services organizations in North Carolina
through his participation on boards and advisory councils;
WHEREAS, Allen Johnson has been a strong voice and a valued Client
Representative to these boards;
WHEREAS, Allen Johnson, with his unwavering commitment to fairness and
diversity, has helped empower the Clients Council and has strengthened the voice
of clients in the provision of legal services;
WHEREAS, Allen Johnson, through his wisdom, his leadership, and his
dedication to equal justice, has contributed greatly to improving the overall
delivery of legal services to the vulnerable and the underrepresented in North
Carolina;
WHEREAS, Allen Johnson, by his tireless – in spite of great personal hardship
– support for the ideal of providing legal services to the poor, has
contributed to improving life for all North Carolina citizens;
WHEREAS, Allen Johnson is a respected colleague and friend who has provided
wisdom and leadership during his time on the Board of Legal Aid of North
Carolina;
BE IT RESOLVED that Legal Aid of North Carolina memorialize in its official
minutes this record and tribute to Allen Johnson for his dedication and service
to this organization and his important contributions to social justice.
