The staff of Legal Aid of North Carolina - Pembroke Office provides legal assistance
in civil matters (non-criminal matters) to eligible, low-income clients
who have problems with their basic needs and live in the two-county
area surrounding Pembroke, NC:
Robeson County or
Scotland County.
Community Economic Development cases (cases where
groups who cannot afford a private attorney seek legal assistance
with their charitable or educational activities) will be
individually reviewed and accepted, if possible.
Indian Law Unit
A specialized Indian Law
Unit operates out of the Pembroke Office. The Indian Law Unit was
established in 1980 to address the unique legal needs of non-federally
recognized Indian tribes in North Carolina.
