Open House on December 10th at Legal Aid of North Carolina-Greenville Office

(Greenville, NC) – Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC), one of the largest nonprofit law firms in North Carolina, will welcome the general public to view its new Greenville office at 301 South Evans Street in downtown Greenville on Friday, December 10 from 2:30-6:00 pm.

“We are inviting the public to visit our new location in Greenville, meet our staff, learn more about our services and meet with community leaders,” said Charlotte-Anne Alexander, managing attorney of LANC-Greenville office. “Refreshments will be served, and our staff will be available to explain the legal services offered by Legal Aid of North Carolina.”

The LANC-Greenville office primarily serves clients in the five-county area surrounding Greenville, including Pitt, Martin, Washington, Hyde and Tyrrell Counties. LANC-Greenville office provides free legal advice and representation to low-income people who have issues related to landlord-tenant problems, unfair consumer practices, family law, domestic violence, employment issues, public benefits, and concerns with education in NC public schools.

LANC is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to eligible, low-income people in all 100 counties in North Carolina through 24, geographically located offices in North Carolina. LANC’s clients typically have an annual income of 125% or less of the federally established poverty levels.

With 100 attorneys, 30 paralegals and a total staff of 230 employees, Legal Aid of North Carolina is one of the largest law firms in North Carolina. In addition, more than 3,000 attorneys from the private bar across the state provide pro bono services for LANC’s eligible clients.
