Legal Aid of North Carolina-Pittsboro Office to celebrate 30th anniversary on Nov. 16th
(Pittsboro, NC) – Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) will welcome the
public to an open house on the afternoon of November 16th at its Pittsboro
office in celebration of the 30th anniversary of offering free legal services
for low-income people in the area.
The open house will be held from 3:30-6:00 PM at the LANC-Pittsboro
Office located at 959 East Street in Pittsboro. Refreshments will be
served, and LANC staff will be available to greet the community and to explain
the legal services offered by Legal Aid of North Carolina.
“We hope that the legal community, community leaders and the general public
will drop by for this celebration,” said Maccene Brown, managing attorney of the
LANC-Pittsboro Office. “Since our beginnings in 1976 as Orange County
Legal Services, then as North State Legal Services and now as Legal Aid of North Carolina-Pittsboro Office, we have enjoyed tremendous support from the legal community
and the public.”

In addition to the open house, LANC will conduct a community forum for
community leaders, as well as a continuing legal education session for
attorneys. These two sessions will be held 1:30-3:15 PM at Central
Carolina Community College, which is located at
764 West Street in

Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC)
