McDougal elected to board of directors of Legal Aid of North Carolina

(Raleigh, NC) – Gregg E. McDougal. was elected for a three-year term to the board of directors of Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) during the 2006 LANC Annual Meeting in Atlantic Beach, N.C.

McDougal will serve on the LANC Board as a representative from the NC Bar Association.

McDougal is an attorney and partner in the law firm of Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP, in Raleigh, and a 1987 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law. He also attended Miami University where he obtained a B.S. in Finance and graduated with honors in 1984.

Among his professional associations, McDougal is a member of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of North Carolina, the North Carolina Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the American Trial Lawyers Association.


McDougal is current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Communities in Schools of Wake County (formerly Community Learning Partners).

Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to eligible, low-income people in all 100 counties in North Carolina through 24, geographically located offices in North Carolina.
