Kyle Woosley elected to board of directors of Legal Aid of NC

(Raleigh, NC) – Kyle Woosley of Greensboro was elected for a three-year term to the board of directors of Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) during the 2007 LANC Annual Meeting in Asheville, N.C.

Woosley will serve on the LANC Board as a representative from the NC Bar Association.
 
 Woosley is an attorney in the law firm of Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP, in Greensboro, and is a 1980 graduate of the Stanford University School of Law. 
 
 Among his professional affiliations, Woosley is a member and previously has served on the Section Council of the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Law Section of the NC Bar Association; is a past co-editor of Environmental News (the newsletter of the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Law Section) ; is an author of a manual on environmental risk management for financial institutions; is a member of the Section of Environment, Energy and Resources and the Section of Administrative Law of the American Bar Association; and is a member of the Local Advisory Council of the Greensboro Office of Legal Aid of North Carolina.

Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to eligible, low-income people in all 100 counties in North Carolina through 24, geographically located offices in North Carolina.  LANC’s clients typically have an annual income of 125% or less of the federally established poverty levels.
