Pro Bono Services

We invite you to join our pool of pro bono volunteers! We'll train you, we'll mentor you, and we'll with work you on matters, projects and presentations concerning legal services for low-income people in North Carolina.   Click here to contact your local LANC Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) coordinator.

Tax Assistance Project ("TAP")

Legal Aid of North Carolina has formed TAP (Tax Assistance Project) to help families with low to moderate income with their income tax preparation.  Many will qualify for the "Earned Income Tax Credit" (EITC) and may receive  tax refunds.  Volunteer to help with this effort....

Events

A listing of several key trainings offered in support of issues that effect LANC's clients.  Aslo, LANC holds community wide events including the 2008 North Carolina Legal Services (Statewide) Conference and CLE training events.

Legal Aid of North Carolina regularly lists job postings to seek qualified professionals who are interested in and concerned for the problems of low-income people.

Fellowships

Legal Aid of North Carolina presently offers two fellowship programs:

Internships

Internships, such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Summer Internships, are available at Legal Aid of North Carolina during the summer months for law students who want to gain experience working in a public interest setting and desire an opportunity to do more than just legal research.
