Have your tax return prepared for free at selected locations in
North Carolina. Don't forget to ask if you are eligible for
the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Child Tax Credit. Tax return preparation is available in person
or using a new TAP-RC virtual preparation service.

Follow the instructions below to access this service:

and create a
user
account.

Step Two:
Follow
the prompts on the screen to complete your return in the
software. You will learn if you are eligible for the
Earned Income Tax
Credit (EITC) and other credits. If this is your first time
to file online, use the
tips in the Get Organized section.

Three:
Find
out about other resources that will help you manage your
finances and build a better future for your family.
