Legal Aid of North Carolina's free do-it-yourself legal clinics educate people about their rights and empower them to handle certain basic legal issues without the help of a lawyer. The Back-to-School Education Law Clinic is a one-time event held at the beginning of the school year –
Sept. 21, 2016, from 12-1:30 p.m. – to help families learn about and enforce their legal rights in N.C. public schools. The clinic will be held at Legal Aid offices, churches, community centers and other locations across the state. The clinic is completely free, but advance registration is required due to space limitations at most locations. Participants receive general legal information only. No specific advice is given on individual cases. Read our FAQ to learn more.
