As allowed by the Bylaws of Legal Aid of North Carolina, the current Board of Directors has established an Executive Committee and nine standing committees:
 
  Executive Committee
  Audit Committee
  Board Development/Nominating Committee
  Client Affairs Committee
  Finance Committee
  Fundraising Committee
  Local Advisory Council/PAI Committee
  Operations Committee
  Personnel Committee
  Resource Development Committee

 
These committees  meet periodically to review issues of special importance and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Mission Statement for Client Affairs Committee
The Mission of the Client Affairs Committee is to represent and support the clients in all five regions of the State of North Carolina by:
* Being a liaison between the North Carolina Clients Council and
   the Legal Aid of North Carolina Board;
* Assuring clients involvement in the policy making process and
   to foster the use of regional clients councils as an ongoing resource in
   achieving solutions to issues; and
* Assuring that the services delivered are appropriate, relevant
   and of the highest quality.
