Hannah elected to board of directors of Legal Aid of North Carolina

(Raleigh, NC) –
Nancy Edmunds Hannah was elected to the
board of
directors
of Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) during the 2006 LANC Annual Meeting in
Atlantic Beach, N.C.
Hannah will serve as the representative from
IOLTA, which is part of the North Carolina State Bar.
Hannah is an attorney in the law firm of
Vann &
Sheridan, LLP, in Raleigh, and a 1993 graduate of the Washington & Lee
University School of Law. She also attended Furman University
where she obtained a B.A. in Education 1981.
Among her professional associations, Hannah is a member of the American Bar
Association (ABA), the NC Bar Association (NCBA), and the Wake County and
Tenth Judicial District Bars. She serves as the chair of the joint Wake
County/Tenth Judicial District Bars Swearing-in Ceremony Committee, and is a
member of the Construction Law Section’s council and acts as that group’s
pro bono projects chair. She is a past member of the council for the
Sports and Entertainment Law Section and serves as membership chair for that
body. She is active on several NCBA committees, is a member of the
NCBA Public Contracts Section, and the ABA Forum on Construction Law.
Hannah presently serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Cary
Family YMCA where she also serves as a team leader for the We Build People
scholarship campaign and coaches youth basketball. She is chair of the
board of directors of the Friends of the Town of Cary Aquatics Center.
