Christmas Trees
Are grown in the western part of North Carolina, in the Appalachian mountain range. Migrant farmworkers plant, cultivate and prune the growing trees. During the fall harvest, workers work long hours and 11-12 hour days are the normal.

Every summer and fall, more than 4,000 Hispanics come to the North Carolina mountains, joining some 2,000 full-time Latino workers for the busy trimming season and the fall harvest.
