Legal Aid celebrates 2008 pro bono efforts in Winston Salem
On Thursday, March 26, 2009, the
Winston-Salem office of
Legal Aid of North Carolina held its second annual pro
bono celebration to recognize the pro bono efforts of our
local attorneys. The event and reception were held in
the Upper Level of the Liberty Plaza Building (building in which the
LANC-Winston-Salem Office is located) in downtown Winston-Salem.
Morant of Wake Forest School of Law was
the guest speaker and spoke on the need for active pro bono
by the private bar.
The LANC-Winston-Salem office recognized 54 pro bono attorneys
who took a case in 2008.
